The Proof Test Operative Role
As a Proof Test Operative, you will be responsible for undertaking various processes, including pyro proofing of pyrotechnic devices, identification of Proof Chamber Parts from drawings, assembly and disassembly of Chamber assemblies, cleaning of Chambers and detailed components, and setting up appropriate firing mechanisms. You will also load, arm, and fire Cartridge/Rocket Motors, as well as collect and analyze firing data.
This hands-on role requires a strong understanding of engineering drawings and meticulous attention to detail. You should be comfortable working under time pressure to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will have a good standard of education with strong GCSE grades, experience with health and safety policies and procedures, and be a team player with the ability to work independently. A 'completer finisher' mindset is essential to ensure tasks are completed thoroughly with no loose ends.
