HG Gladwell & Sons have been trading from Copdock Mill near Ipswich for over 100 years. This family owned company is now one of the largest independent manufacturers, wholesalers and distributors ,these products are in bags or boxes which weigh up to 25kg. This role will involve a high degree of manual handling.
We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our late team who is willing to work in a small team of people and is able to use their own initiative when needed.
Based at: Copdock Mill, Copdock, Ipswich, IP8 3LA.
Position reports into: Late Shift Supervisor and Warehouse Manager.
Hours: 14:00 to 22:00 with a half hour paid break, overtime to be agreed in advance.
Pay annually: £30,676:80 this includes a shift allowance.
Job Purpose: To work in our warehouse assisting with goods-in and goods-out operations across all warehouse areas.
You will need a certain level of fitness as our products are in bags or boxes, which weigh up to approximately 25Kg.
Key Responsibilities:
* Accurately process orders for receipt or delivery.
* Ensure all established procedures are adhered to.
* Establish and maintain effective working relationships and communicate and liaise verbally with co-workers, supervisors and managers to optimise department performance.
* Maintain regular, consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance and adherence to relevant Health and Safety procedures.
Essential Skills:
* Must be numerate and literate as will be working from written instructions.
* Reach and Counterbalance forklift truck certificates are required.
* Excellent attention to detail is required as mistakes are costly to rectify.
* Ability to work under your own initiative is important.
Own transport is desirable, as the site is not well served by public transport.
