CDR Maguire (CDR|M) delivers solutions that move people, and we are looking for a Project Manager - Highways to join our Transportation Engineering Division in the Greater Boston area. In this position, you will be responsible for bolstering our Transportation Division and strengthening the CDR|M Highway Department through technical expertise and innovation. Responsibilities include leading, managing, and completing highway design and analysis, as well as other roadway engineering efforts. Individuals with project management and business development experience will perform the following roles:
1. Serve as the lead Project Manager on major, local, and regional transportation structure projects
2. Develop client relationships
3. Provide technical guidance, senior leadership, and mentorship to engineering staff
4. Communicate with staff from various disciplines (roadway, traffic, water, planning, etc.)
5. Develop scope and schedule, monitor project budgets
6. Perform and check complex highway analysis, design calculations, geometric layouts, construction specifications, and material quantity reports
7. Manage highway-related tasks during project development, including plan and report production
8. Participate in professional industry organizations
9. Travel up to 25% as required for business needs
Requirements:
* 5+ years of transportation project management experience and 10+ years of highway engineering experience
* Bachelor's in Civil Engineering; Master's preferred; PE license in Massachusetts required
* Successful history of developing client relationships
* Strong knowledge of roadway engineering principles
* Experience with MassDOT design manuals, procedures, specifications, standards, software, and codes
* Familiarity with AASHTO, FHWA, and local agency standards
* Knowledge of highway, right-of-way, drainage, and traffic designs
* Experience with highway and traffic construction techniques
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Synchro, Sidra, SignCAD, etc.
* Experience with Design-Build and ABC project delivery methods
* Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams
