Role description
Steensen Varming are looking for a Graduate or Project Electrical Building Services Engineer to join our London based team. This role provides the best of both worlds through working in a global company within a local studio-based supportive, established team.
We understand that people are at the core everything we do and key to our continued success. That means we prioritise the growth and progression of our team through providing bespoke training and personal progression plans. Working at Steensen Varming, you will have exposure to all parts of the project lifecycle from day one, be it reviewing survey information, undertaking design calculations, producing design documentation, collaborating with the wider project team, or undertaking site visits. We believe that this exposure to different parts of the project lifecycle alongside having the opportunity to complete different tasks across different projects helps to significantly aid the pace of progression. That means you can expect to be working on the design and implementation of different electrical systems across a range of different projects, some at the early design stages and some already under construction.
In addition to providing the opportunity to work on exciting and challenging projects, we’re keen to foster a fun and collaborative team environment across our global team and within the London studio, so we make sure to find time for socialising. That might mean playing pool, listening to records or holding an impromptu band practice in the office, or making the most of the what the local area has to offer be it playing table tennis in the park, trips to the local food market, or sampling some of the local night life at the end of the day.
If you are keen to hit the ground running and to quickly develop a solid foundation across all elements of electrical design through working as part of a close-knit team, this could be the role for you!
Candidate Requirements
Applications are invited from creative, proactive people, with experience in the following:
* A Degree in Electrical, Building Services Engineering, or a closely related subject.
* An interest in Building Services Engineering and a passion to make a difference in the industry.
* An interest in sustainability practices and desire to foster real client relationships.
