Hours:
40 hours per week
Your Responsibilities:
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role within our Commercial team. Your expertise will help us manage:
* Cost Control: Carrying out all aspects of cost control, subcontract management, and change management.
* Estimating: Estimating target prices and negotiating with subcontractors.
* Value Identification: Identifying and agreeing on the value of additional works and managing monthly liabilities.
* Documentation: Producing and managing contractual documentation while mentoring junior staff.
Your Day-to-Day:
* Prepare, monitor, and control budgets for highways projects, ensuring they remain within budget.
* Create and review contract documents, including bills of quantities and specifications.
* Organize monthly cost reports and financial statements, providing insights to senior management.
* Identify and assess potential project risks, developing effective mitigation strategies.
* Undertake onboarding processes for subcontractors and draft subcontract orders.
What We’re Looking For:
This role is perfect for you if you:
* Can lead and motivate team members with a solid understanding of construction contracts, law, and regulations.
* Hold a degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline, with MRICS or equivalent professional qualification.
* Have proven experience in cost management, contract administration, and risk management.
* Can effectively influence, negotiate, and manage stakeholder relationships.
