The role of Benchmarking Estimator plays a key role in making sure that we achieve value for money for our clients across all quoted works. The Estimator is responsible for verifying quotes, negotiating costs where necessary and ensuring quoted works meet the needs of the client. Please note this is a fulltime Monday to Friday role working 40 hours a week and is on a 12-month fixed term contract. What you'll be doing day to day Monitor the benchmarking dashboard and mailbox for quotes or queries Review quotes against internal process Request further information and negotiate costs Review works proposals to assess health and safety risks and raise any concerns with contractor Assess level of risk/importance for quoted works to support client decision making and submit quotes to clients. Issue quoted works to contractors on approval from the client. Assign reactive tasks for health and safety or critical jobs, where a quote is not appropriate Chase outstanding quotes and work with supply chain partners to prioritise any backlog Build relationships with key external stakeholders, educating the latter on Cloud systems and processes. Ensure the benchmarking systems are up to date Meet with internal stakeholders regularly to review quotes awaiting approval. Check compliance certificates to ensure all remedial works meet requirements Assist in disaster recovery situations, sourcing contractors at short notice and prioritising works. Support Supply Chain Partners with sourcing materials.
