The scope of this role is to ensure outstanding levels of care are provided to the Individuals living within the service by monitoring and improving the clinical expertise of all clinical staff within the home through assessing competencies and delivering or facilitating training within the service.
Main duties of the job
Other responsibilities will include:
* Supporting, working closely with managers, the mandatory training function across Centres.
* Providing safe and competent training to facilitate the transition of staff development from Carer to Senior Healthcare Assistant through the completion of competencies in Tracheostomy, Suctioning, Ventilator, and Cough Assist, following organisational career pathways.
* Working with the Director of Clinical Services and L&D Manager to review, develop, and implement competency documents related to clinical competencies and training pathways relevant to the service's needs and current practices.
* Ensuring clinical staff are trained, skilled, and competent to provide high-quality care within their roles, respecting individuals' privacy and dignity.
* Seeking out learning opportunities for employee development by signposting resources and actively planning internal or external learning opportunities for all staff groups.

About you
To succeed, you should embody our values of caring, supportiveness, honesty, respect, and accountability.
Requirements include:
* UK Registered Nurse with an active PIN.
* Level 3 qualification in Education and Training or equivalent.
* Experience delivering engaging training in person and virtually.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
* Experience caring for ventilator and tracheostomy patients (preferred).
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Flexibility and adaptability to cover various responsibilities at short notice.

This role requires a DBS check, with costs covered by the employer, and proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
