Job Title: Learning Support Assistant - Secondary focus
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £460 – £600 per week
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term / Day-to-day
Start Date: Immediately

About the Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to support secondary-aged students in accessing the curriculum. You will provide tailored support to individuals and small groups, helping learners build confidence, stay engaged, and make progress across a range of subjects.
Responsibilities:
* Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and learning activities
* Work with secondary pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis
* Help students overcome barriers to learning and stay engaged in lessons
* Promote positive behaviour and a focused classroom environment
* Assist with adapting resources to meet individual learning needs
* Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
Requirements:
* Experience working with children or young people, ideally in a secondary setting
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* A patient, adaptable and proactive approach
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* A genuine commitment to supporting student progress and wellbeing
