We are recruiting for a Duty Solicitor to join a well-established and growing criminal defence team.

The Package
1. £, base salary
2. Circa £8, additional earnings (approx. 1 out-of-hours police station call per week)
3. Further earning potential available via optional additional rota work
4. Overall earning potential: circa £,
5. days holiday + Christmas shutdown
The Role
6. Police station representation (including out-of-hours rota – optional)
7. Magistrates’ and Crown Court attendances
8. Prison visits (in person and video link)
9. Case preparation and evidence review under tight deadlines
10. Full secretarial/legal assistant support provided

12. Remote working days for admin and file progression
13. Some solicitors attend court directly from home
14. Out-of-hours police station work is optional, not mandatory
15. Saturday/bank holiday court rota shared fairly (approx. 4–5 per year)
