Internal Sales Executive

£30,000 - £35,000 + progression
The Company
Our client is a well-established engineering business operating within a specialist, niche sector. With a strong and loyal customer base, they are now looking to strengthen their commercial team following recent growth and internal changes.
The Role
This is a predominantly office-based sales role, focused on managing and developing existing customer relationships, with occasional travel to client sites when required.
You will play a key role in maintaining strong customer relationships, identifying opportunities within existing accounts, and supporting the continued growth of the business.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Managing a portfolio of existing customers (approx. 1,000 accounts)
2. Building and developing relationships with customers
3. Maintaining and updating customer data to better understand requirements and opportunities
4. Identifying opportunities for cross-selling and upselling additional products
5. Supporting the growth of existing accounts and maximising their potential
6. Attending client visits where appropriate
7. Working closely with internal sales and marketing teams
About You
8. Previous experience in sales, internal sales, account management, or business development
9. Strong relationship-building skills with a customer-focused approach
10. Self-motivated, proactive, and organised
11. Confident communicator with a personable manner
12. Engineering or industrial knowledge is beneficial but not essential
13. Full UK driving licence required
