Job Advert: Quantity Surveyor
Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking for a new opportunity in the construction industry? We have a fantastic permanent role available with a small boutique consultancy based in Altrincham.
Our client, a well-established company, is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their team. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for a range of commercial duties, including tendering, cost management, and contract terms. Proficiency in JCT contracts is also required for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conducting quantity surveying tasks and cost analysis for construction projects.
2. Preparing accurate estimates, tenders, and cost plans.
3. Managing contract variations and valuations.
4. Collaborating with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure project success.
5. Providing expert advice on commercial matters.
6. Contributing to the development and implementation of cost management strategies.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
* Strong knowledge and understanding of commercial quantity surveying practices, including tendering, cost management, and contract terms.
* Proficiency in using JCT contracts.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* The ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
* A full UK driving licence.
