Overview
We are looking for a proactive and reliable Caretaker to join the team at Royal William Yard, Plymouth. This role supports the Building Manager in maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and functionality of the communal spaces to ensure a welcoming environment for residents.

Working Hours
* 16 hours per week:
* Thursday 4 hours
* Friday 8 hours
* Saturday morning 4 hours
* Hours can be worked flexibly. Occasional additional hours/overtime may be required.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out daily inspections of communal areas, identifying and resolving maintenance issues.
* Support with basic maintenance and repair tasks.
* Conduct weekly fire alarm and emergency lighting checks.
* Record monthly utility meter readings and assist with site inspections.
* Maintain security across the residential blocks.
* Liaise with residents and contractors, ensuring health and safety standards are upheld.
* Supervise contractors and support cleaning staff when required.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
About You
* Experience in facilities or caretaking within commercial or residential settings.
* Basic IT skills.
* Ability to carry out basic maintenance and repair work.
* A professional, courteous approach with a strong focus on customer service.
* Awareness of health and safety and fire safety procedures.
