Job Description
* Leading the planning, measurement, review, and audit of all HSE activities.
* Setting and maintaining high standards for health, safety, and environmental performance.
* Advising management on best practice and legal compliance.
* Establishing and embedding effective HSE management systems.
* Ensuring all customer, permit, and regulatory requirements are met.
* Providing technical expertise and support to the management team.
* Keeping the business up to date with new legislation and industry developments.
* Building strong relationships with emergency services and regulatory agencies.
* Compiling and communicating HSE performance data to inform business priorities.
* Driving continuous improvement as a key member of the management team.
* Ensuring HSE business plans are current, tracked, and actioned.
* Delivering projects on time and within budget.
* Leading internal and external audits to maintain ISO14001:2015 compliance.
* Overseeing site security and maintaining environmental policies and manuals.
* Conducting HSE management review meetings and maintaining legal registers.
The Successful Applicant
* NEBOSH Diploma (essential); Chartered Membership of IOSH (CMIOSH) preferred.
* IEMA qualification desirable.
* Strong background in Health, Safety & Environmental management, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
* Technically strong, with the ability to provide accurate, detailed guidance.
* Proactive, solutions-driven, and able to demonstrate a track record of achievement in a fast-paced environment.
* Experienced in conducting HSE audits.
* A true team player, passionate about making a difference and shaping the H&S agenda.
* Robust, assertive, and able to remain decisive under pressure.
* Confident operating at senior levels and representing the business externally.
