You will be the primary point of contact for all quality-related matters within the Legacy Gears Value Stream at our Wolverhampton facility. As a Quality Engineer, you'll work enthusiastically and flexibly with diverse functional leads—ensuring adherence to our Quality Management System (QMS) and policies. You'll champion continuous improvement, facilitate audits, and lead corrective actions to uphold the highest standards of product and process quality.

What will your day-to-day responsibilities look like?

•Provide guidance and support to ensure compliance with regulatory, customer and internal quality requirements. Facilitate adherence to the Quality Management System and lead process-walk audits.
•Lead and facilitate 8D investigations, Root-Cause Corrective Actions (RRCA), DIVE analyses and other structured problem-solving methodologies to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.
•Participate in PFMEAs, MPRs, design reviews and formal gate reviews. Collaborate with the clinic team to elevate process maturity and drive ongoing improvements within the cell.
•Prepare, analyse and report on process performance against targets, and on product quality against customer requirements. Provide the Measurement & Process (M&P) team with clear, actionable insights.
•Take ownership of quality objectives for assigned projects, liaising closely with functional leads to ensure project success and alignment with the Value Stream strategy.
•Assist with containment activities and inspection protocols as required, ensuring the timely resolution of any deviations.

Job Requirements

Essential skills:

•Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and process documentation.
•Proven experience with measurement, analysis and continuous-improvement methodologies (e.g. PFMEA, 8D, RRCA, DIVE).
•Demonstrable capability in facilitating audits, process walks and ensuring strict adherence to a QMS.

Desirable skills:

•Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with SAP.
•Enthusiastic, open-minded and adaptable, with a willingness to learn and embrace diverse opinions and ideas.
•Previous exposure to gears manufacturing or legacy mechanical systems.
•Familiarity with formal quality-management tools such as MPRs, design-review processes and gate-review frameworks.
