Due to an internal promotion, we are now seeking an experienced Stock Controller for a manufacturing business based in Diss.
Your new role
The stock controller plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and accurate flow of materials through the warehouse and production environment. This position is responsible for overseeing stock control processes, including the picking and packing of kits for production and customer orders, managing inbound and outbound deliveries, and maintaining high levels of inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts. The role also ensurespliance with safety and regulatory standards within warehouse operations and contributes to team development by training staff in core stock control procedures.
Day-to-day you will organise and manage national and international shipments, liaising with couriers and logistics partners to meet delivery schedules and resolve any transport issues. Receive and inspect iing deliveries, verify the contents against purchase orders and delivery notes, and promptly reporting any discrepancies or damages. Conduct regular perpetual cycle counts, investigate variances, and implement corrective actions to maintain high levels of stock accuracy. Identify opportunities to streamline stock control and warehouse processes, contributing to operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have experience of managing stock control, strong IT skills including MS and inventory management systems. A methodical and analytical mindset, and strong attention to detail for accurate data handling and reporting.
