Commercial Gas Engineer
Location: West London into Central London only
Key Details:
* Salary: £50,000 – £58,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
* Contract: 40 hour week plus lunch (8-5pm)
* Travel: After 30 minutes either side
* Holiday: 21 days plus bank holidays
* On call: 1 in 4 - Overtime payment 1.5x; Double time Friday and Saturday nights
* 3 hrs @ 1.5x for each call out + £30.00 OOH’s call out completion bonus
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Commercial Gas Engineer to join our company based in the South East. We currently employ over 150 engineers in the South East alone across the Mechanical & Electrical sector including commercial gas and air conditioning.
The role involves carrying out planned and reactive maintenance work on a wide range of commercial gas systems across various commercial premises which mainly include Leisure Centres & Retailers
Role Responsibilities
* Carry out servicing, maintenance, fault-finding, and repairs on a wide range of commercial gas appliances and heating systems.
* Conduct planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and respond to reactive breakdowns across various commercial premises such as Retailers, Restaurants and Leisure Centres
* Diagnose and repair faults efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption for clients.
* Complete safety inspections and gas certificates in line with current regulations and compliance standards.
* Maintain clear and accurate job records and reports using company systems and documentation.
* Work independently and as part of a team to manage your daily workload, attending scheduled appointments across the region.
* Participate in a 1-in-4 on-call rota, attending emergency call-outs and ensuring high standards of customer service during out-of-hours visits.
* Communicate effectively with clients and site representatives, providing updates and explanations where necessary.
* Ensure adherence to health and safety procedures, site rules, and company protocols at all times.
* Maintain van stock and tools to required levels and report any shortages or equipment issues promptly.
* Represent the company professionally at all times, upholding quality and safety standards.
Essential Qualifications / Experience
* Commercial gas qualifications (Commercial CDGA1, CIGA1, CORT1,COCN1, TPCP1A, TPCP1,CoNGLP1PD)
* Full Driver’s Licence
* Uniform
* Smart phone
