Corporate Tax Director The Role As part of a continued growth strategy, our client is seeking an experienced Corporate Tax Director to join its expanding tax team. This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for driving the corporate tax offering in the local market, while supporting a diverse client base on advisory, transactional, and compliance matters.
The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping client relationships, delivering high‑quality technical advice, and contributing to the strategic direction of the tax function.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development of client relationships and identify new business opportunities across a broad range of tax and advisory services
Take overall responsibility for a portfolio of clients, ensuring the delivery of high‑quality corporate tax advice and compliance services
Act as a trusted advisor to clients on complex technical matters and transactions
Proactively manage and grow existing client relationships, identifying opportunities to expand service offerings
Support and develop senior team members, including Associate Directors and Managers, through coaching and mentoring
Maintain a strong focus on delivering excellent client service while managing risk and ensuring compliance standards are met
Contribute to the management and strategic direction of the wider tax team and broader office where appropriate
Collaborate with partners and colleagues to develop and execute go‑to‑market strategies
The Team The corporate tax function is well‑established and operates across multiple office locations, comprising a large and experienced team of partners and professionals. The team works with a diverse portfolio of clients across sectors including technology, financial services, property, retail, manufacturing, and more.
About You
Professionally qualified (ACA, ACCA, CTA or equivalent)
Significant post‑qualification experience in UK corporate tax
Strong technical expertise with the ability to provide clear, practical advice on complex issues
Proven track record in managing client relationships and delivering high‑quality work
Strong commercial awareness and business development capability
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage workloads, deadlines, and budgets effectively
Effective communicator with the ability to build relationships at all levels
A collaborative team player with experience mentoring and developing others
