Neurosurgery Spine Fellow – 12 month Fellowship
We invite applications for a comprehensive spinal neurosurgery fellowship spanning 12 months. This advanced training focuses on the evaluation and management of complex spinal disorders with extensive operative exposure, including:
* Degenerative cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine disease
* Intradural and extradural spinal tumours
* Spinal infections
* Deformity and stabilization procedures
* Minimally invasive spine surgery (where applicable)
The fellow will work closely with experienced consultant neurosurgeons in a high‑volume centre, gaining progressive operative responsibility and clinical independence. The post holder must demonstrate a strong interest in spine surgery, sound clinical judgment, professionalism, and teamwork skills.

Operational Expectations
Call rota: 1:12 resident on‑call. Work closely with neurosurgery resident doctors and nursing teams. Work as a member of a team of five Complex Spinal Surgery Consultants within a high‑volume tertiary spinal service, gaining exposure to advanced techniques such as spinal fixation, minimally invasive/endoscopic surgery, spinal oncology, anterolateral approaches, and image‑guided navigation and robotics.
