Role Purpose

To provide effective security coverage across all Lynas properties, ensuring the safety of staff, visitors, vehicles, and assets. The Security Guard will carry out routine patrols, monitor access, secure gates and buildings, and respond to incidents in a professional and timely manner.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Access Control

* Open and secure gates, doors, and buildings as required during operational hours.
* Lock all gates and buildings during non-operational hours.
* Monitor and control the entry and exit of vehicles, staff, contractors, and visitors.

Patrolling

* Conduct hourly perimeter patrols of the external site.
* Carry out regular inspections inside the warehouse.
* Patrol the lorry yard, food outlet, and farm-fed sites.
* Monitor and patrol Causeway Prime and any other Lynas property as required.

Surveillance & Monitoring

* Observe and monitor CCTV systems where applicable.
* Report any suspicious activity, unauthorised access, or security breaches.

Incident Response

* Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents.
* Take immediate action to prevent or minimise loss, damage, or injury.
* Liaise with emergency services when necessary.

Reporting & Documentation

* Maintain accurate records of patrols, incidents, and gate/building activity.
* Prepare and submit daily security reports to management.

Health & Safety

* Ensure fire exits, emergency routes, and safety equipment remain unobstructed and functional.
* Report hazards, maintenance issues, or safety concerns to management.

Customer Service & Representation

* Provide assistance and guidance to staff, visitors, and contractors.
* Represent Lynas in a professional and approachable manner at all times.

Requirements

* Previous experience in a security role is desirable but not essential.
* Ability to work night shifts and weekends on a rotational basis.
* Strong observation skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to remain calm and act quickly in emergencies.
* Good communication and reporting skills.
* Must be reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 32 per week
