Operations Manager
(
Warehouse/Transport)
who's as passionate about great service as we are to join our Norwich office.
Hours – 7.00am – 5.00pm Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities
* Managing a small team of warehouse staff and drivers, ensuring all team members are prepared and ready for their day
* Run the transport operations for the branch - load planning and delivery routes
* Support Branch Manager with operations: driver and warehouse staff health and safety compliance
* Directly support warehouse team with preparing and loading/unloading orders when necessary (forklift training provided)
* Provide an excellent level of service for all customers
* Check incoming deliveries and report missing or damaged products
* Maintain stock levels in both the warehouse and yard areas, carrying out regular stock counts and producing reports on stock management for branch
* Keep the branch looking clean and tidy and make Health & Safety a priority
* Work with colleagues to suggest opportunities for improvement

Required Skills And Experience
* Previous industry experience is beneficial ideally Civils or Utilities
* Experience within warehouse and transport management with teams of up to 5
* Confident in a hands-on, sometimes physical role
* Flexible with a positive can-do attitude
* Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and practice
* Basic working knowledge of environmental legislation
* Experience within the supply chain/merchanting industry is desirable
* Knowledge and experience scheduling methods and work processes.
* Good interpersonal and communication skills
* Good general level of education together with PC literacy and basic financial awareness
