We are currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join a specialist SEN school based in Harborne. The school supports children and young people with a wide range of special educational needs, including autism, learning difficulties, speech and language needs, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges.

Key Responsibilities
* Support pupils with special educational needs in the classroom and during other school activities
* Assist teachers in delivering a differentiated and accessible curriculum
* Work 1:1 or in small groups to meet individual learning, behavioural and emotional needs
* Help manage and support behaviour in a positive, consistent way
* Provide support with personal care if required
* Encourage the development of pupils' confidence, independence and communication skills
* Maintain accurate records and contribute to progress monitoring
Person Specification
* Experience supporting children or young people with special educational needs (in a school or care/support setting)
* A calm, patient and nurturing approach
* Good communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
* Experience with specific needs such as autism, SEMH, speech and language difficulties
* Relevant training or qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, Team Teach, Makaton, etc.)
