Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Dining Room Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will oversee the dining area, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while managing staff and coordinating dining operations. You will contribute to maintaining high standards of service, food safety, and hospitality in a vibrant environment.
Duties
* Assist in the coordination of daily dining room activities to ensure smooth operations.
* Perform guest services, food safety, and proper serving techniques.
* Ensure that all food preparation and meal presentation meet quality standards.
* Assist with meal preparation and cooking as needed, demonstrating culinary skills.
* Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimise guest flow.
* Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism and effective communication.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, adhering to health regulations.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of meals.
* Monitor inventory levels of dining supplies and report any shortages.
Requirements
* Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is desirable.
* Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques advantageous.
* Previous experience in kitchen roles or as a delivery driver is advantageous.
* Excellent communication skills, with a focus on phone etiquette and guest interaction.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
* Experience in barista duties or hotel services is a plus.
* A passion for providing outstanding guest experiences through attentive service.
* Flexibility to work varied shifts as required by the dining schedule.
