Offer description

* Patient Care: Assisting residents with daily tasks and household duties if necessary.
* Emotional Support: Providing counselling, reassurance, and a trusting environment to help patients cope with stress and challenges.
* Monitoring and Documentation: Continuously observing residents' physical and mental states, keeping accurate records, and reporting on their welfare. Daily documentation of residents' activities.
* Medication Support: Administering their prescribed medications.
* Care Planning: Collaborating with individuals and their families to develop and implement personalised care and support plans.
* Crisis Intervention: Offering intervention during mental health crises to ensure patient safety and well-being.
* Community Engagement: Encouraging patients to participate in community activities and build relationships with others.
* Risk Assessment: Performing risk assessments to ensure the safety of patients.
* Family Support: Educating and providing support to residents' families and carers.
* Cleaning: Regularly cleaning and upkeeping the placement to ensure appropriate living conditions.

Essential skills & qualities:

* Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills for clear and sensitive communication with patients, families, and colleagues.
* Empathy: A compassionate and non-judgmental attitude to build positive relationships and provide a safe, encouraging environment.
* Problem-Solving & Adaptability: The ability to adapt to changing situations, act effectively, and solve problems independently.
* Resilience & Calmness: Maintaining composure and resilience when dealing with stressful or challenging situations.
* Teamwork: The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team with other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications:

* Experience: While not always required, prior experience in social care or mental health is often preferred.
* Qualifications: Formal qualifications are not always necessary, but a social care qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care) can be beneficial.
* DBS

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: £12.21-£14.00 per hour
