Job Overview
We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our in‑house clinical team. You will deliver bespoke assessment and intervention to pupils who have experienced developmental trauma, are neurodivergent, or have SEMH needs. Working collaboratively with the education team, you will hold an occupational therapy caseload, support pupils towards independence, contribute to staff training and consultation, and comply with the OFG Occupational Therapy Ways of Working. Location: Hillingdon Grange, an independent specialist day school supporting children and young people aged 3‑14.
Responsibilities
* Hold an occupational therapy caseload and deliver assessment and intervention in an education setting.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary education, safeguarding and clinical teams.
* Contribute to staff training and consultation as required.
* Write clear and concise reports for multidisciplinary teams and external agencies.
Qualifications
* Recognised Occupational Therapy degree
* Valid and up‑to‑date HCPC Registration
* Registered member of RCOT
* Relevant experience providing occupational therapy services within a similar setting is preferable
* Experience working with neurodivergent and/or learning difficulty and/or socio‑emotional and mental health difficulties in any setting, with evidence of transferable skills
* Sound knowledge and clinical understanding of OT theory and its practical application to support independence
* Experience of multi‑professional work with teams or services within the designated speciality preferred
* Ability to work independently, with flexibility and confidence
* Clear and concise report‑writing skills
* Hold a full UK driving licence, with access to a car
* Interest in sensory integration or sensory‑informed practice (SI practitioner training in progress or completed is preferable, though not essential)
Benefits
Salary: Up to £53,200 FTE, depending on experience, plus a £5,000 Welcome Bonus (paid as £2,500 after one month and £2,500 upon completion of probation). Apply hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday‑Friday, 08:30 am‑04:30 pm. Contract: Permanent (term‑time only, with flexibility around full‑time contract available based on personal circumstances).
