KS1 Teaching Assistant – Primary School – Garston
Location: Garston, Liverpool
Start Date: January 2026
Contract: Full-time, Term-time
Pay Rate: £13.75 - £14.50 per hour (depending on experience)
About the Role
Are you passionate about supporting young learners and helping them thrive? A welcoming primary school in Garston is looking for a KS1 Teaching Assistant to join their team this January.
You’ll work closely with the class teacher to:
* Support pupils in Year 1 and Year 2 with their learning and development.
* Deliver small group interventions and 1:1 support where needed.
* Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in lessons.
* Help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.

Ideal Candidate
* Experience working in a primary school setting (KS1 experience preferred).
* A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and phonics (desirable).
* An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
