Job Responsibilities
* Perform routine and non‑routine analytical testing using a broad range of analytical techniques for RSM, intermediates and drug substance at early phase development including LC, IC, GC, MS, ICP and spectroscopic methodology.
* Provide testing support to DSM.
* Support stability study testing.
* Support reference standard requalification.
* Experience in method development and validation is desirable.
* Provide synthetic chemistry support on a small scale.
* Review analytical data for GMP compliance.
* Prepare and approve results for tests in which the analyst has received appropriate training and is deemed competent.
* Train other Eurofins or client employees in analytical techniques and electronic systems as required.
* Initiate and follow up on OOS results and action limits as per customer procedures.
* Identify opportunities for quality and service improvement and work with the team to implement continuous improvement.
* Document data according to current client policies and procedures.
* Ensure all documentation is completed on time, accurately and legibly, and conforms to relevant quality standards.
* Update documentation when requested by Lead Scientist or client representative.
* Participate in the preparation of reports.
Qualifications
* A degree in Chemistry or a related discipline is required.
* Proven relevant experience of pharmaceutical analysis in a development laboratory, or equivalent, is desired.
* Experience with traditional analytical techniques and modern instrumental equipment (HPLC, IC, GC Karl Fischer, mass spectrometry, ICP and other spectroscopic techniques); ability to interpret raw data and troubleshoot instruments and methods.
* Experience working with oligonucleotides and peptides is desirable.
* Thorough understanding of chromatographic techniques with some troubleshooting capabilities.
* Thorough understanding of requirements for working in a GMP environment.
* Ability to quickly learn new processes and proactively offer suggestions for improvement.
* Ability to work on own initiative and develop solutions as part of a team.
* Good communication skills, internally and externally; able to communicate documents or concepts to co‑workers or clients independently.
* Ability to work using fully electronic media, including MS Office.
* Capacity to form strong working relationships with colleagues.
* Strong team player, organized, accurate, with strong documentation skills.
