About The Role
As a Multi‑Skilled Engineer, you will play a key role in keeping our production lines running efficiently and safely. You will carry out both planned and reactive maintenance across a wide range of manufacturing equipment and site services, identify faults, take ownership of problems and see issues through to resolution.
Shift Pattern
Rotating 4‑week pattern including days, nights and weekends, with a full week off every month and regular blocks of time off. You will receive 8.5% shift allowance on top of your base salary.
Responsibilities
* Carry out maintenance, repair and servicing of production equipment and site services.
* Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults.
* Support installation and commissioning of new equipment.
* Maintain accurate maintenance records using CMMS (IFS).
* Ensure compliance with health & safety, food safety and quality standards (BRC).
* Support continuous improvement and engineering projects.
* Manage and monitor spare parts where required.
Requirements
* Formal engineering qualification, preferable apprenticeship or time served in a mechanical or electrical discipline.
Skills
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Able to work on own initiative with minimum supervision.
* Monitoring and prioritising workload to achieve targets.
* High attention to detail.
* Pragmatic, measured approach to problem solving.
* Organise work to meet quality standards and deadlines.
* Team‑work ability.
* Work under pressure.
* Good knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering.
Desirable skills or experience
* Working knowledge of steam/pressure systems (advantageous but not essential).
* Any maintenance of food equipment experience (advantageous but not essential).
* Experience working in a food manufacturing environment.
