The role
As a General Maintenance Assistant, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. An opportunity exists for a General Maintenance Assistant to work in a leading defence technology company delivering a wide range of design, manufacturing, and operational support projects to defence customers.
Day-to-day, you’ll have the following responsibilities:
* The cleaning of domestic and technical installations, equipment, and site vehicles.
* Maintenance of domestic water and drainage systems.
* Ordering materials to maintain cost effective stock levels.
* General labouring and porterage including receipt, packing and dispatch of goods.
* To maintain technical and administration records and provide information as required.
This role is full time and is a hybrid role with a mixture of working from home and working onsite at Skelton.
Essential experience of the General Maintenance Assistant:
* A comprehensive knowledge of current safe working practices and safety procedures
* 1-2 years’ experience of general building maintenance and cleaning techniques.
* Possession of a current full UK driving licence.
* Basic Computer skills including email, Word and spreadsheets.
Qualifications for the General Maintenance Assistant:
* Minimum GSCE Grade C in Maths and English or NVQ level2.

* The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance for this role.
