The Role
* Deliver engaging and well‑structured English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
* Inspire a love of reading, writing, and language through creative and inclusive teaching.
* Plan lessons that meet the needs of mixed‑ability classes and support all learners to progress.
* Assess, track, and report on student progress in line with departmental expectations.
* Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour within a calm and respectful learning environment.
* Work collaboratively within a supportive English department and wider school community.

The Ideal Candidate
* Holds QTS (or is an ECT with strong subject knowledge)
* Has a passion for English and the ability to motivate and inspire learners
* Demonstrates strong classroom‑management and communication skills
* Is committed to raising attainment and supporting student wellbeing
* Has, or is willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
