Bid Writer – Civil Engineering North West (hybrid / office-based with flexibility) £45,000 – £55,000 DOE package Permanent role supporting multi-sector civil engineering frameworks A well-established civil engineering contractor operating across the North West is looking to appoint an experienced Bid Writer to support tender submissions across its full range of civil engineering workstreams. The business delivers projects across highways, public realm, water, utilities and general infrastructure for public-sector and framework clients. This is a permanent role offering long-term stability and the opportunity to play a key part in securing future workload. The Role Working closely with Pre-Construction, Estimating and Senior Management teams, you will be responsible for producing high-quality written submissions for PQQs, ITTs and framework bids, including: * Writing and coordinating tender responses for civil engineering projects * Producing clear, compliant and well-structured written submissions * Interpreting tender questions, scoring criteria and employer requirements * Coordinating technical input from operational, commercial and HSEQ teams * Managing bid content through to final submission and deadlines Workstreams Supported * Highways and public realm * Water and utilities * General civils and infrastructure * Local authority and public-sector frameworks About You * Proven experience as a Bid Writer within civil engineering or construction * Strong understanding of PQQ and ITT processes * Ability to translate technical information into clear written responses * Highly organised with strong attention to detail * Comfortable managing multiple submissions to deadline Skills / Background * Construction or civil engineering sector experience * Strong written English and document presentation skills * Familiarity with framework and public-sector tendering * Confident liaising with estimators, planners and delivery teams What’s on Offer * £45,000 – £55,000 basic salary (DOE) * Competitive benefits package * Long-term, stable position within an established contractor * Exposure to multiple civil engineering sectors and frameworks * Opportunity to develop within pre-construction / bid management
