What you’ll be doing:
Managing the day-to-day credit risk on a defined debtor list, including collecting overdue accounts, following up on short payments, assessing credit limits, and handling queries effectively.
You Will Be Required To:
* Contribute to the collection performance to reduce Daily Sales Outstanding (DSO) and minimize bad debts.
* Proactively target delinquent accounts for timely cash collection in line with company targets.
* Manage and mitigate risks related to customer credit limits following company procedures.
* Provide excellent customer service to internal and external clients.
* Maximize sales opportunities within a defined customer base by managing credit limits effectively.
* Follow up promptly on short payments made by customers.
* Address stop maintenance and over-trading issues per company policies.
* Handle incoming and outgoing calls professionally to meet company targets.
* Perform administrative duties as needed.
* Maintain and monitor the customer query database for efficient resolution of issues.
What you’ll need to have:
* Experience in a credit control environment.
* Educated to G.C.S.E. level or equivalent, with skills in Maths and English, or equivalent experience.
* Good knowledge of debt chasing strategies.
* Basic understanding of credit reports.
* Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
* Flexibility to handle high volumes of work.
* Ability to work well in a team environment.
* Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* Good literacy and numeracy skills.
