Position
We are recruiting for band 2 Health care Support Worker to a busy 30 bedded Orthopaedic ward. One of the posts is a permanent post and the other is a fixed term 11 months contract.
Ward 5is a busy 30 bedded Surgical unit. We specialise in pre and post operative general surgical care, patients undergoing elective gynecological procedures and rehabilitation of Orthopaedic patients post surgery.
The workload and patient groups are diverse and will provide opportunities to develop knowledge in the field of Surgical Nursing. Full support is given with professional development and Dr Grays has an on-site Practice Education Team to support staff.
You will have the opportunity to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, who are all committed to delivering high quality, safe, person centred care.

As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro‑rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
