anzuk Education are proud to be working with a welcoming and community-focused primary school in Upminster, seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join their friendly and supportive team. The successful candidate will join the Year 3 support team, working closely with class teachers and the SENCo to provide tailored support for pupils with a range of learning, behavioural and social/emotional needs. This will include working 1:1 with pupils as well as delivering small group interventions aimed at building confidence and raising attainment.
Key Responsibilities
Support pupils’ learning in class under the direction of the teacher and SENCo
Deliver targeted 1:1 and small group interventions to enhance progress and engagement
Assist pupils with specific learning or emotional needs, helping them access the full curriculum
Foster a positive and nurturing learning environment, encouraging independence and confidence
Collaborate effectively with the wider team to share insights and strategies Key Requirements
Experience working with children, ideally within Key Stage 2
A good standard of literacy and numeracy
A proactive, organised and caring approach to supporting pupils
The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Experience supporting pupils with SEND is highly desirable What’s on Offer
