Materials Specialist – 1st Shift | 20–25/hr | Temp-to-Perm

What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be the go-to expert for material flow—keeping the warehouse, shop floor, and shipping operations running efficiently and accurately. Key responsibilities include:
* Managing inventory, pulling materials for shop use, and ensuring accurate documentation
* Tracking stockouts and forecasting part needs for locomotives in-shop and inbound
* Performing daily cycle counts and resolving inventory discrepancies
* Coordinating inbound/outbound shipments, including LTL and expedited freight
* Operating forklifts, conducting equipment checks, and restocking materials
* Using Oracle and other systems for material tracking and transactions
* Processing warranty claims, repair cycle assets, and material sales
* Communicating with Circle of Service shops to fulfill urgent material requests
* Supporting physical inventories, housekeeping, and safety compliance

What We’re Looking For
* High school diploma or GED, or 2+ years of relevant warehouse or logistics experience
* Previous experience operating forklifts and warehouse equipment
* Solid math skills and ability to follow procedures accurately
* Comfortable using computer systems and inventory management tools
* Strong attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple priorities
* Flexibility to work varied shifts if needed and strong, reliable attendance

Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (30-minute lunch break)

Pay Details: 20.00 to 25.00 per hour
