We have a vacancy for a Finance Manager / Senior Project Accountant to join our team on the BAM Nuttall Transpennine Route Upgrade West project, based at our Huddersfield Office.
The Transpennine Route is a major transport artery for the UK, serving communities and economies across northern England. It spans 76 miles between Manchester, Leeds, York, Selby, and Humberside. This route has seen passenger numbers double over the past 25 years, supporting millions of people annually. The Transpennine Route Upgrade (TRU) is a multi-billion pound investment program aimed at delivering a high-performing, reliable railway with more seats, more trains, and faster journeys between Manchester and York via Huddersfield and Leeds. It is the most significant railway transformation in the north since the Victorian era.
Purpose: To deliver financial management, analysis, and reporting for a major infrastructure project, ensuring compliance, risk control, cash management, and strategic support.
Your mission
Key Responsibilities:
* Financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
* Supporting leadership with financial insights and risk analysis
* Ensuring compliance with policies and revenue recognition
* Driving process improvements and financial modeling for bids
* Managing financial controls, O2C, P2P, and R2R activities
Who are we looking for?
Experience & Skills:
* Qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA
* Strong financial strategy, control, and reporting skills
* Experience in large infrastructure projects
* Knowledge of IFRS, treasury, tax, and finance operations
* Ability to lead teams, drive performance, and influence change
* Leadership, collaboration, and decision-making skills
* Strong communication and negotiation skills
* Digital finance expertise and data analysis capabilities
