The post holder will have a Consultant(s) allocated to them and will provide support for the MDT Co-ordinator.
The post holder is required to support the Team Leader Medical Secretary in the delivery of a comprehensive administrative service to a specialty team. This will involve managing, communicating appointment and admission-related information to patients and carers and/or typing correspondence as appropriate.
Main duties of the job
This role is a medical secretary role and includes all office duties, typing letters, clinic alterations, answering telephone calls, using software packages such as Microsoft, Careflow, IPortal, along with other office-based duties.
We are looking to appoint a Medical Secretary/MDT Co-ordinator to join the Diabetes and Endocrinology Secretarial team. This is a secondment for 12 months. You will have experience of administration duties and dealing with members of the public.

Person Specification
Essential Criteria
* NVQ level 2, OCR 2 or equivalent
* Reasonable standard of GSCE A-C (4-9) or equivalent
* Knowledge of Microsoft office package including: Microsoft word and outlook

* Audio type writing skills
* NHS Experience
