Financial Controller
Our client is looking for a skilled Financial Controller to join their dynamic team. The role is critical to the business as it will be responsible for the financial performance within the Fresh Produce business and a leader within the Finance Team.
Main Responsibilities
1. Provide Leadership to the Finance team and support their development plans.
2. Have a strong understanding of Management / Statutory accounting and Cash flow
3. Define and monitor internal controls and ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures
4. Analyse manufacturing and other variances to the latest projection, forecast, and budget and communicate drivers to management with recommended actions.
5. Partner with and provide insight, analysis, and effective business advice regarding commercial performance, cost management and investment decisions to the Operations, Supply Chain, and NPD leadership team.
6. Challenge the site leadership team to drive financial performance.
7. Identify and flag financial risks and opportunities to management on a timely basis.
8. Work with relevant stakeholders to establish and improve operating processes and performance measurement.
9. Coordinate as required with HR on payroll activity, insurance, pension, and other services.
10. Deliver all planning, budgeting, forecasting, monthly actuals & year-end reporting processes for the site.
11. Lead ad-hoc project work to support a continuous improvement approach to all finance routines.
Required
12. Proven experience in a Finance role in the FMCG industry OR an experianced accountant within practice looking to moving into industry.
13. The ideal candidate would be a ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualified. However, the client is open to QBE or Part Qualified Candidates
14. An understanding of Dutch Accounting Principles would be benefical
15. Strong financial analysis skills and strategic thinking.
16. Proficient in team management and supervision.
17. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration.
18. In depth knowledge of financial regulations and compliance.
