Are you an experienced Project Manager in civil engineering or infrastructure looking to lead high-profile water projects across Yorkshire Water or United Utilities frameworks?
We’re supporting a well-established civil engineering contractor delivering projects on a major Yorkshire water and United Utilities frameworks, with long-term regional work operating out of Manchester and Leeds.
They’re looking for a driven Project Manager to take ownership of project delivery, lead strong teams, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget, with proven experience in the UK water sector!

🏗 The Role
As Project Manager, you will:
👷 Lead project teams made up of internal staff, subcontractors and suppliers
📊 Deliver projects across a range of values, scopes and complexities
🤝 Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
📅 Manage project programme, cost, risk and delivery strategy
🦺 Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and health & safety standards
📢 Present project updates to stakeholders at key project stages
📈 Produce detailed reports covering progress, costs, milestones and resource planning
📑 Manage contracts and support strong commercial performance
📍 Work closely with engineering teams on surveying, setting out and modern construction techniques
🛠 Promote a strong health & safety culture across projects
👤 About You
You will ideally have:
✔ Proven experience delivering civil engineering or infrastructure projects in the UK water sector
✔ Strong commercial awareness and contract management skills
✔ Experience leading multidisciplinary site teams
✔ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
✔ Strong planning and organisational abilities
✔ Analytical and proactive problem-solving approach
✔ Ability to work under pressure and meet demanding deadlines
✔ A valid UK driving licence and flexibility to travel
🎓 A degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Construction or Engineering is preferred.
⭐ Experience delivering clean water or wastewater infrastructure projects would be highly beneficial.
