Your new role
Our client, a school in Haydock is looking for a Qualified Level 2 Early Years Teaching Assistant to start in September on an 8-week temporary contract which could be extended or go permanent for the right candidate. The role involves working within a large reception class supporting the class teacher, managing behaviour, assisting in the general learning and development of the pupils on a 1:1 basis and in smaller groups.
Your new role:
1. Assist in the planning and delivery of age-appropriate activities
2. Ensuring all children are engaged in learning and activities
3. Support children’s social, emotional, and physical development
4. Observe and record children’s progress, sharing insights with the teaching team
5. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
6. Befortable assisting with personal care such as nappy changes
What you'll need to succeed
7. Knowledge of safeguarding
8. DBS
9. Experience in an early years/nursery setting
10. Level 2 Early Years Assistant Qualification
11. Full right to work in the UK
