The Senior Procurement Specialist assists client’s project buyers with procuring, managing, and remittance processing of service contracts under Statement of Work (SOW) agreements. Partners with project buyers to facilitate Request for Proposals (RFPs), SOW negotiation events, and provides project oversight regarding supplier invoice administration and settlement. Works with client-facing teams to optimize efforts to service clients in a high-quality, cost-effective manner across multiple client locations.
Hybrid role: it requires coming to the London office twice a week.
What you’ll be doing
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Develop partnering relationships with the client’s project buyer community and understand their historical and projected buying needs.
2. Manage procurement requisition activity using VMS technology, ensuring accurate and timely transaction records.
3. Support the RFP bidding process as a sourcing advisor, mediator, and negotiator.
4. Evaluate SOW agreement terms for conformity and compliance, escalating deviations for approval.
5. Develop deep knowledge of the program service supplier community to assist with sourcing recommendations.
6. Perform analyses including cost savings reporting and operational efficiencies.
7. Provide SOP training and updates to suppliers and client buyers to ensure compliance and understanding of VMS technology and program processes.
8. Ensure suppliers manage onboarding, employee relations, and off-boarding activities appropriately.
9. Provide and analyze standard program reports and support ad hoc reporting as needed.
10. Assist the Operations Manager in meeting financial goals and ensuring full policy compliance, providing performance analyses.
11. Build and maintain relationships with the Operations Manager and client end users, including site visits and communications.
12. Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
About you
EDUCATION & JOB REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor’s degree in business or related field with at least three (3) years of procurement experience, demonstrating high customer service levels and increased responsibilities.
* Experience as a buyer or in accounts payable, preferably with SOW procurement in IT or professional services organizations.
