Business Support Team Leader (Maternity Cover)
Location: Regent Street Office, Loughborough (Hybrid: 2–3 days office / 2–3 days home)
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week (39 weeks)
Contract: Maternity Cover
We are looking for a highly organised and motivated Business Support Team Leader to join our service on a maternity cover basis. This is a varied role that will involve managing staff, supporting inspections, overseeing office requirements, and ensuring smooth and effective business support across the service.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Line managing staff, including supervision, absence management, APR meetings and performance reviews.
2. Prioritising and organising workloads, ensuring cover during staff absences.
3. Supporting Business Support Officers with system templates, processes, and service improvements.
4. Preparing for Ofsted and other inspections.
5. Managing day-to-day office needs (stationery, equipment, supplies).
6. Collecting, compiling, and presenting data; supporting data cleansing.
7. Organising and delivering staff training and developing guidance materials.
8. Developing and maintaining effective administrative systems and IT processes.
9. Ensuring building and security requirements are monitored and reported.
10. Overseeing minute-taking at meetings and maintaining confidentiality.
11. Managing financial processes (PCard transactions, imprest payments, purchase orders).
12. Supporting allocation meetings and updating Synergy (database).

15. Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to adapt in a busy environment.
16. Good communicator, with experience working across teams.
17. IT literate with strong data and reporting skills.
