Job Description
Risktec at TUV Rheinland UK is seeking experienced NDT Engineers (permanent role) with specific pressure systems knowledge to join its expanding Asset Integrity Management team based in Derby, UK. The successful candidates will play a key role in delivering solutions for our clients. Most activities focus on the Conventional Power and Clean Energy sectors (primarily CCGT, Biomass, and Energy from Waste plants).
Required Qualifications
* PCN Level 2D certification in magnetic particle testing, penetrant testing, and ultrasonic testing of welds (minimum requirement).
* Advantages include:
o PCN Level 2 in phased array ultrasonic testing and/or TOFD.
o PCN Level 3 in any testing method.
o Project management experience.
o NEBOSH General Certificate.
Experience
You should have:
* Practical experience inspecting plant components, especially steam and water pressure parts (both in new and in-service degraded conditions).
* An understanding of damage/degradation mechanisms affecting inspected components.
Additional advantages:
* Experience in ultrasonic testing of branch connections.
* Experience managing plant outages, including coordinating inspection activities and liaising with clients and stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Conduct plant inspections during site visits.
* Coordinate and supervise inspection activities, especially during outages.
* Produce and review high-quality inspection reports.
* Estimate and manage project costs.
* Stay updated on standards, legislation, and best practices.
* Travel within the UK and abroad as required.
