Location: Tingley, Wakefield
Type: Permanent, part-time 30 hpw, Monday - Friday, 4pm - 10pm

We’re seeking a Supported Housing Concierge to join our team. At Home Group, we support vulnerable customers, including those with complex care needs. Your role will be to ensure our customers' safety, maintain secure and welcoming buildings, and foster good relations with our neighbors.
Typical shift as a Housing Concierge
* This role involves more than just night security; it’s active and engaging.
* You will be the first point of support for customers when other teams or their support networks are unavailable.
* Responsibilities include managing health and safety, patrolling to check fire doors, and ensuring premises are secure.
* You must be able to respond promptly to situations such as suspicious activity or emergencies.
* Additionally, you'll assist with maintaining cleanliness, including tasks like cleaning when needed.

You bring
* Calmness under pressure and excellent communication skills
* Experience supporting vulnerable populations, such as in public service or military roles
* Interest in engaging with people and keen observation skills to notice behavioral changes
* Ability to intervene sensitively when issues arise
* Teamwork skills and confidence to work independently, with support from our wider team and emergency services

* Evening work with regular daytime training and meetings
* Competence in using CCTV and internal systems
* An Enhanced DBS check is required, which we will fund
