My client a leading public sector organisation based in Belfast is currently seeking a Full-Time Mechanical Engineering Technician
Hours: The hours of work will be hours per week, - Monday to Thursday & - on Friday, and full in office working.
The following details the job requirements:
1. Hours per week: PW, M-F
2. £ per hour
3. Duration of placement: Up to 6 months with possible extension
MAIN PURPOSE
To work as a Mechanical Engineering technician as part of the Fleet Mechanical & Engineering teams within the three regional workshops to ensure service delivery of all specialist operational equipment and vehicles is met at all times. The Mechanical Engineering Technician (MET) is responsible for the Inspection, diagnostics, planned maintenance, emergency repair, bodywork, Coach building and modification to all vehicles and equipment within the NIFRS fleet of Vehicles and Operational equipment. The MET will be expected to work across differing trade disciplines in carrying out their role. To participate in the Regional Standby Rota to facilitate an effective support network to ensure operational resilience is maintained out of hours. This involves carrying out the emergency repair of vehicles and equipment and vehicle recovery for operational incidents on a 24/7 basis.
