An innovative clean-tech scale-up ‘ recently backed and expanding’ is hiring an Operations Manager to lead day-to-day operations, optimisation and continuous improvement across their pilot-scale plant. Operations Manager Permanent, Full-time £ Competitive Benefits Oxford (on-site) Operations Manager Responsibilities: Leading safe day-to-day operation of pilot plant facilities. Building and developing the operations team capability. Driving optimisation of catalytic conversion and separation systems. Translating pilot plant learnings into scalable, commercial solutions. Interfacing with third-party engineering partners during project execution. Contributing process engineering input into scale-up design, modelling and techno-economic work. Leading/supporting HAZOP/HAZID and ensuring safety excellence. Acting as a mentor to junior engineers and supporting a high-performance culture. Operations Manager Requirements MEng/MSc in Chemical Engineering or equivalent. Significant industrial process engineering experience with scale-up exposure. Strong operations background in plant operation / optimisation / troubleshooting. Experience in process safety and leading hazard studies. Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver outcomes. Desirable: Pilot / demonstration plant commissioning or operations experience. Experience in new energy, synthetic fuels, chemicals, hydrogen, gas processing, or adjacent sectors Experience in fast-paced scale-up environments.
