About The Role
Are you ready to join a company that truly values its people and their contributions? Due to ongoing expansion, we are looking for a Transport Planner to thrive in a busy environment.
Reporting to the Regional Transport Manager, you will be responsible for delivering effective and efficient transport routes across multiple depots, managing up to 10 drivers or 8 vehicles. Your role will focus on ensuring the safe operation of our transport activities, maintaining high safety standards for drivers, vehicles, and routes.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Responsible for route efficiency, leading review processes, and ensuring compliance to optimize schedules and third-party logistics usage.
* Achieving operational performance targets aligned with KPIs such as on-time delivery, vehicle productivity, accident reduction, vehicle uptime, and revenue compliance.
* Proactively reducing missed time-slots and late deliveries.
* Resolving transport issues arising from customers and drivers.
* Briefing and de-briefing drivers effectively.
This role requires passing a full clean DBS check and providing a 5-year reference history.

About You
We will support your training and personal development to help you succeed. To excel as a Transport Planner, you should have:
* Excellent organizational skills and composure under pressure.
* Experience in resource and route management across multiple depots, with responsibility for routing, compliance, and regulations. A Transport Manager CPC qualification or working towards it is preferred.
* Proficiency in transport and workforce management systems (e.g., Paragon, Job Watch, Rotec) and Microsoft Office applications.
* Strong geographical knowledge of the UK road network.
* A personable, proactive, and resilient approach, with the ability to react quickly and make decisions under pressure.
* A commercial mindset, understanding the impact of costs on operations.
