Maintenance Technician
Function: Supply Chain
Location: Lisburn
Contract: Permanent
YOUR NEW KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Diagnose and resolve equipment breakdowns, carrying out corrective and preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
2. Undertake repairs and maintenance on PLC controlled production machinery, packaging equipment, and associated systems.
3. Carry out equipment inspections, identify potential issues, and define appropriate work scopes and standards.
4. Accurately record, report, and update all maintenance activities using the Mobile Maintenance Management System.
5. Maintain plant maintenance records, update job plans, and technical documentation to support efficient maintenance and reduce delays.
6. Provide technical expertise to improve reliability, performance, and efficiency of plant machinery and automation systems.
7. Ensure compliance with all company policies, health & safety standards, and statutory requirements.
8. Work collaboratively with production, quality, and engineering teams to support smooth operations in a high-speed beverage manufacturing environment.
ARE THESE YOUR SECRET INGREDIENTS?
Essential Criteria
9. Minimum 4 GCSEs including English and Maths at grade C or above, or equivalent.
10. Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent Higher Level qualification in Electrical/Automation / Mecatronics Engineering
11. 3+ years experience in FMCG or beverage/food manufacturing environment.
12. Ability to read and interpret Electrical / Mechanical drawings, installation of new equipment and deep understanding of control systems.
13. Demonstrates the highest standards of practice in health and safety.
14. Demonstrates cross-functional thinking and understanding.
15. Skilled in troubleshooting, fault-finding, and root cause analysis.
Desired Criteria
16. Time served Electrical, Electronic, Automation Engineer
17. Strong knowledge of Siemens PLC systems
18. 3rd level Education qualification in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics)
19. Extensive experience in FMCG or beverage/food manufacturing environment.
