Robert Half are working in partnership with a renowned, leading organisation in Swindon to recruit a Financial Accountant to join their finance function on a full-time permanent basis. This is a progressive, challenging role that will be heavily involved with a variety of technical accounting duties, with an emphasis on lease accounting, fixed assets, balance sheet, P&L and an element of business partnering with various stakeholders across the business. This role will be suitable for a ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified candidate that is keen to take the next step up in their career and be a part of a company that is well known for offering career development and progression. The salary is between £45,000 - £50,000 plus car allowance, annual bonus, hybrid working and other excellent benefits.
The Role
The main duties of the Financial Accountant role will consist of:
1. Balance sheet review and reconciliations.
2. Providing detailed profit and loss and balance sheet analysis.
3. CAPEX reporting.
4. Further financial reporting and providing commentary of variances and key drivers.
5. Ownership of budgeting, forecasting process and 3 year plan.
6. Maintaining the fixed asset register and depreciation.
7. Ownership of IFRS16 lease and rent accounting.
8. Business partnering with various stakeholders in order to maintain and enhance processes around P&L.
Requirements
To be considered for the Financial Accountant role, you must ideally possess the following skills/attributes:
9. Must have experience within a similar role, either within practice or industry.
10. Good working knowledge of balance sheet and profit and loss.
11. Ideally ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified.
12. Strong communication skills.
13. Excellent attention to detail.
