Salary Scale: LGS Scale 3 - points 5-6
Salary: Actual salary range: £16,493 to £16,754 per annum
Hourly rate: £13.64 to £13.85
Our school is currently seeking to recruit two flexible, enthusiastic and inspiring Learning Support Assistants to work with targeted individuals or small groups so that they can reach their full potential and thrive in our inclusive and vibrant school. If you like children and want to play a key role in nurturing them and watching them grow, this may well be the job for you!
One position is permanent and one is fixed term to 30th August 2026. Experience of understanding and supporting pupils with learning difficulties, speech and language difficulties, autism, ADHD or social and emotional needs is essential. A willingness to work across the primary age range is also essential, including Early Years, KS1 and KS2.
This role would suit somebody who has a sense of humour, demonstrates excellent empathy but also has a commitment to a firm, clear and consistent approach to supporting pupils.
This position is ideally for an immediate start, although a later start date would be considered for the right candidate.
The successful candidate will:
* have a passion for inclusion, supporting pupils in making the best possible progress
* put children at the centre of their work
* have a caring, patient and positive approach towards supporting pupils' learning and pastoral needs
* be able to work effectively as part of a team, as well as being pro-active and able to use their own initiative
* have excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
* have knowledge and experience of working with pupils with special educational needs
