Role Purpose The Production Planner will plan all aspects of production, working closely with the Sales team, the Drawing Office and the Stores team. You will also be responsible for: The responsibilities Issuing lead times and completion dates to departments Manage the hours for each job Manage holidays for five departments, factoring these into the job hours. Manage the specification register with the Managing Director Request information to order parts and steel ahead of arranged build dates Ensure daily operations are in line company processes and procedures, implementing new ideas for better results Ensure good housekeeping The person Experience in a manufacturing/engineering sector Ability to read engineering drawings Strong attention to detail, problem solving and organisational skills Confident in computer skills, including Microsoft office, excel, etc Team player, who can drive a positive, energetic team Strong verbal and communication skills Positive attitude to deliver excellent results Demonstrate ambition and a drive to succeed in their career First Aid trained (advantageous) Experience: Production Planning: 1 year (required) Engineering/Manufacturing: 3 years (required)
